It is a pleasure to head the Department of Physics at E. G. S. Pillay Arts & Science College (Autonomous). The department offers B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programmes and is supported by a team of highly experienced and motivated faculty members. Our students are well-prepared for global competition through hands-on exposure to current technologies.

Students consistently secure top positions and are placed in leading companies such as Bright Star, Wipro, Accenture, TCS, Zealous Services, HCL, Tech Mahindra, IDBI, and HGS. We facilitate Personality Development, Communication classes, and preparation for competitive exams. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities thrive at institute level with active participation in intra/inter-college events.

Faculty and students also take initiatives for social causes through various clubs. Turning a student into a good citizen is the prime aim of the Department of Physics.
